Since in 1993 the company was founded by the former Tesla’s R&D staff, it specializes in the PV area. Apart from production of solar cells from monocrystaline silicon and modules, we also deal with projecting and implementation of PV systems and plants (PVS, PVPP), delivering of PV modules and components, solving of industry applications charging and electrification of places without grids.
Solartec has been delivering its products and services to customers at their maximum satisfaction for 14 years. Customers are our priority and their satisfaction motivates us to continuous development of our products and services. Quality of products and services depends on quality of our staff. Therefore, in all areas of our activities we employ the best specialists. In addition, we also recruit our future collaborators from graduands and inceptors, who carry out their scientific work in our company.
We have gained a lot of experience and expertise from our long-term participation in international projects and from industrial relations prevailing at the competitive European, American but also Japanese markets, where we always succeeded due to the quality of our products.
Our primary goal with respect to the customers is to provide optimal solutions and long-term guarantee of quality of our products and services.
Company history
- 1989 – start-up of solar cells technology development (by the future partner of the former state-owned company, Tesla Roznov)
- 1993 – SOLARTEC s.r.o. - Company incorporation
- 1993 – beginning of cooperation with Czech universities – Solartec’s specialists’ lectures at universities
- 1994 – building of production line and production of solar cells by own technology
- 1997 – first international EC grant project - 1st PV Facade in the Czech Republic one of the first coloured Facade Worldwide
- 1997 – first installation of "key" PV system
- 1998 – delivery of solar cells for façade installation in Japan (YKK Tokyo)
- 1999 – realization of first "bigger" grid-on PV installation on building in the Czech Republic - 6 kWp coloured Façade at Corinthia Panorama Hotel Prague
- 2002 – realization of first 20 kWp grid-on installation in the Czech republic
- 2003 – own unique technology BIPV (building integrated PV) - R&D project
- 2004 – first project of foreign development aid - Energy for schools in Kenya
- 2007 – commissioning of a new modern production line for 5" and 6" solar cells
- 2008 - ISO 9001-2000 Certificate
