Since in 1993 the company was founded by the former Tesla’s R&D staff, it specializes in the PV area. Apart from production of solar cells from monocrystaline silicon and modules, we also deal with projecting and implementation of PV systems and plants (PVS, PVPP), delivering of PV modules and components, solving of industry applications charging and electrification of places without grids.

DEPTH DIAGNOSTICS AND ANALYSIS OF SOLAR PANELS

With almost 20 years of research in the field of photovoltaics, we're able to deeply analyze and test PV modules. This will then serve as a basis for reclamation, etc. The field is Solartec recognized authority.

We must say that the result is affected by partial outputs of each method and gives a comprehensive picture of the defects and qualities of concrete samples.

CURRENT VOLTAGE CHARACTERISTICS – FLASH TEST
  • Measurement of current voltage characteristics of photovoltaic panel on the calibrated tester
  • Basic method for the assessment of PV panel electrical power output and its possible divergences
  • The only one decisive criterion for reclamation of the electrical properties of the PV panel

For a more accurate assessment of the causes of decreased PV panel performance must be used (one of) the following diagnostic methods:

THERMAL IMAGER

This is method, which results are often confused as a key indicator of the quality of the sample. The fundamental problem is the correct interpretation of results and completion of the final result of analysis by other methods.

  • Quick and effective method for defects locations finding. These locations can cause loss of PV panel electrical power.
  • The principle of this method is the detection of the infrared spectrum that is invisible to the human eye.
  • Thermovision method isn’t sufficient to demonstrate the defects of the panel! The presence of warmer areas on PV panel can be negligible (significant) effect for electrical characteristics of the panel.
  • Types of defects that we detect using thermovision:
    • Transient resistance of soldered joints
    • Transient resistance in the connector
    • Low parallel resistance of the individual solar cell (internal fault in the structure of solar cell)
    • Defective or a forward biased (bypass) diode
    • Differences in the current voltage characteristics of each cell in a PV module
    • Shading of individual cell or it’s parts

ELEKTROLUMINISCENCE

Instead of enlightenment and power production of PV panel, we connect panel to current and shooting that radiation with scientific CCD camera.

  • This method distribution of currents visible in the panel (cells), and highlights local inhomogeneities and possible local failures.
  • The image thus obtained can be seen black and light areas. Fully functional monocrystalline solar cell then has a homogeneous distribution of bright colors.
  • In the case of multicrystalline solar cells, this method also shows monocrystalline domains and their transitions to neighboring differently oriented monocrystalline domains.
  • Types of defects that we detect using electroluminescence:
    • cracks, microcracks in cell
    • Interrupted metallization on each cell
    • electrically inactive parts of the panel (of cells or the whole chain)
    • other inhomogeneity – revealing technological errors incurred before encapsulating cells into photovoltaic panel (inhomogeneous firing conductive pastes, diffusion, etc.)

MOBILE MEASURING OF VA CHARACTERISTICS
  • Efficient method for evaluation of current voltage characteristics of the panels directly on the construction of solar plant
  • Types of defects that can be using a mobile measurement VA characteristics detected:
    • deflection in the characteristics of VA panels without time-consuming and expensive tests in the laboratory
    • additional measurements when there is suspected activated bridge diode (defective string in the panel)
    • present precise measurements of temperature and light intensity panel by calibrated pyranometer (ISO 9060:1990(E) Secondary standard)
